Just received my Yubikey and for some reason it wasn’t cased 
can someone put something harmful on it? I chose to get it off EBAY like an idiot.
You can’t overwrite/update the firmware of YubiKeys, so there shouldn’t be a possibility to flash malicious firmware.
However, you should check the firmware version and reset everything.
