this is awesome, lmao, I saw it as just a matter of time in the coming when word got out a couple months ago you could pay some cheezepuff private eye $20 to get a full week data dump of all your ex’s cell network and gps triangulated whereabouts. (and as the article mentions, good for bounty hunters, but uh, not legal!

The “smart” stuff (phones, etc) final frontier of the lawless lands is coming to a close and surveillance capitalism will get more sneaky and dirty as a result, imo, unless we get some actual regulations/laws on the books…

afaik, this is the first huge lawsuit taking the big 4 US carriers to task and I imagine it will only grow to look at exactly what they are selling to whom (and how they’re profiteering off our infos not consented to be shared in such manner that hasn’t already been/is being exposed in the facadebook fiasco…
