Now My ISP can't see what i visit right?

So after installing dnscrypt-proxy (thx to @Mikaela ) now i want to know 2 things:

  1. an actual proof that my dns now encrypted (like see it by my eyes)
2 is now ISP see nothing ? or i still need to use VPN ?

I think you can use Wireshark for that, but https://www.privacytools.io/providers/dns/#icanndns has a " How to verify DNS is encrypted" section which links to https://github.com/jedisct1/dnscrypt-proxy/wiki/Checking in your case.

Your ISP can see parts of the connections such as SNI and OCPI (I am yet to read how it works) and if you were using a VPN, your VPN provider would see that information, so you need to decide whether you trust your ISP or a VPN provider more.
