I just hope this issue didn’t have a significant impact on their market share (although I doubt “regular” users like my mom even noticed it).

I don’t always agree with Mozilla, but it is in everyone’s interest to have an open source web browser engine not affiliated with Google. Especially since we are seeing more and more webapps becoming Blink/WebKit only (like in the terrible days of IE6).
