iSH is a project to get a Linux shell environment running locally on your iOS device, using a usermode x86 emulator

In last few months I am trying to setup a LinageOS + F-Droid device. I struggle a little bit, the process is slow.

At the moment I use iPhone.

Now I found, it’s Alpine Linux for iOS.

A project to get a Linux shell running on iOS, using usermode x86 emulation and syscall translation.

Now my question: if I only use iSH and other Open Source apps on iPhone (don’t touch the non-free stuff) is this better for my privacy than a LinageOS + F-Droid device?

thank you for advice

Nope! because you still will get pre installed apps that will still send data to apple, its like google stuff on android so add new OS without google/apple at all is more good but if you can’t (like me) then yes it would help too!
