Gmail confidential mode is not secure or private - ProtonMail Blog

I haven’t ever even heard of GMail confidential mode

That’s a very good warning, and it’s useful to everybody, not only Proton Mail users.
Google is, indeed, being very devious with this mode, especially with the “give us your friends’ phone numbers, so you can be more private” feature.

It is clear that a Google product never offers privacy.

It was really funny to read mainstream news about last Google product advertisement show. They believe Google added privacy.

I hadn’t heard of this either, but it sounds similar to the “Incognito mode.” Might be a good blog topic to reshare!

people, please do your research before forming an opinion. there are far too many echo-chamber driven ‘slam pieces’ in the media these days which are complete nonsense (this is one of them).

at the end of the day, this is one business bashing another business, hoping to influence their audience with nothing more than a headline.

OK…fair enough. I have been noticing that a lot (different companies insulting one another’s privacy, or lack thereof).
